Our aim is to make sessions fun, enjoyable and educational, no two sessions are ever the same, as we work with the needs and goals of our clients.
We offer a variety of engaging, purposeful activities designed to support physical, educational, and emotional development in meaningful, everyday ways. Examples include:

Play is a fundamental part of a child's development. Our therapists use games as a delightful and effective way to engage children in the therapeutic process, all while working on important skills.

Imaginative play is crucial for children's development. Using their imagination with basic toys assists with problem-solving, social skills, creativity, resilience and educational skills.

Our sessions incorporate structured sensory-based activities designed to support each child's individual developmental needs. Through guided, hands-on experiences, we aim to enhance:

We provide creative arts and crafts experiences that encourage children to explore, create, and express themselves in a supportive environment. Through hands-on activities such as painting, collage, and imaginative projects, children develop important skills including fine motor coordination, problem-solving, communication, and emotional expression.
Educational and age-appropriate YouTube clips are used to facilitate discussions, teach new concepts, and stimulate creativity. These clips serve as valuable resources for engaging children in meaningful conversations.

Visual supports and social stories help children better understand their world and feel more confident in everyday situations. Visuals provide clear, predictable guidance for routines, expectations, and transitions, while social stories gently introduce new experiences, social situations, and emotional concepts in a way that is easy for children to understand.
We support children to develop regulation and calming strategies that help them feel safe, understood, and in control of their emotions. Through playful, hands-on approaches, children are guided to recognise their feelings and learn practical ways to manage them, such as breathing techniques, movement breaks, and sensory tools.

Fine and gross motor skills are important for enabling children to complete everyday tasks such as dressing, writing, and active play, while also supporting coordination, strength, and overall confidence in movement.
Fine motor experiences focus on building hand strength, coordination, and control for everyday tasks such as drawing, cutting, and self-care, while gross motor activities promote balance, strength, and body awareness through movement and active play.
Guiding You Consulting
In the spirit of reconciliation, Guiding You Consulting acknowledges the Yorta Yorta Nation (including the Bangerang people) as the Traditional Custodians of the lands, waters, and skies where we operate across Cobram, Yarrawonga, and Shepparton. We also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
